Almost three years in the making, ‘Spiritus’ is our most personal and expansive release yet, ruminating on darkness, the light, and all the tiny intangible shifts that add up to transformation and change. Entirely self-produced, ‘Spiritus’ attempts to capture the energy of our live performances paired with the emotional depth of our 13 year relationship. A departure from our previous releases, in terms of content and production, we followed our delight to it’s core, slowing down the process, inviting spaciousness and reflection, isolating all the drum parts, and sculpting sonic depth with background vocals and supportive synths. Lush with character and detail, these eight new tracks display vivid moments of ecstatic high energy melting into moments of soft expansion, coaxed along by ghostly textured synths, momentum mounting, spirit settling.
